The S-boom telescopic booms manufactured by Genie have been equipped with an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally than compared to other types of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access tight areas during industrial and construction applications. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site rapidly and with great traction and drive speed. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables offer operators easy, quick positioning.
The Z-135/70 model has a telescoping jib, known as the Jib-Extend, that goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This specific unit can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were inaccessible by traditional jibs before. The Z-80/60 unit's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This feature allows over and up reaching tasks to be completed with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System built by Genie allows for time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms platform has to either be lowered or lifted without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be elevated fully simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system lessens the time needed for users to descend and ascend, increasing both efficiency and productivity.
