Engineered for Safety
Yale is famous for providing safe lift trucks which are flexible and adaptable for various applications and tasks. The ability to design and make units for improved safety comes from the new technology that is available in the company's experience and the material handling industry.
Yale likes to integrate new technology that is available into their latest designs. Several of the new technologies that are available are initially applied to forklift trucks and then later proven further through functionality and durability testing. The company performs many reliability development and controlled field tests in order to ensure their products are really safe.
Some of Yale's innovative designs and technology that has been incorporated as standard features for their fleet in order to improve overall safety comprise the following:
Operator Compartment Ergonomics and Controls
The operator compartment has been designed with ergonomics in mind, utilizing state-of-the-art technology. These designs help to ensure that the operator avoids exhaustion and heavy repetitive motions. These extra comforts help to increase overall productivity.
Adjustable Operators Controls and Compartment
Adjustable operator controls allow the operators to choose the positioning of their necessary controls. This helps make the equipment user friendly, regardless of who is using it. Prior to starting their shift, the operator can make sure she or he is as comfortable as she or he could be.
Operator Presence System
The Operator Presence System prevents the hydraulic system operation from being used if the operator is not in the right operating position. This presence system also disables directional travel on trucks that have internal combustion engines.
Swing-Out LPG Tank Bracket
The drop-down design brings the LPG tank out from the protected center of the truck and down to the natural handling position of the operator making the tank easier to change.
