Doosan Large Capacity Forklifts Salem

Forklifts are crucial tools used in modern industries. Companies that utilize forklifts have to understand their significance, their functional needs, and the safety aspects involved in lift truck applications. Forklifts are a great investment that can increase workplace productivity and efficiency.

Significance

The forklift offers an efficient and effective way to transport goods and products. These modern equipment transport a wide variety of heavy goods in all types of environments. Forklifts are utilized to transport bulky and heavy things which would otherwise have to be transported manually in smaller units.

Function

Forklifts can reach racks as high as 9 to 12 meters. This allows efficient use of maximum storage capacity in a warehouse or retail store. The forks move up and down by a telescopic hydraulic cylinder on the forklift mast. Different sets of hydraulic cylinders are used to be able to tilt the mast and shift it to the side, for positioning. A telescopic hydraulic cylinder is a type of attachment which allows an even higher lift using a hydraulic cylinder system which works much similar to a telescope. Each section slides inside the other like sections of a telescope.

Features

Separate levers control the up and down, tilt, and side shift. To raise the forks, the operator pulls back on the down and up lever. To lower the forks, the operator pushes the lever forward. Tilt the load back by pulling back the lever, push it forward to tilt the load forward. The side shift lever controls the right and left movement of the forks. Unlike automobiles, forklifts steer from the back tires. This allows the forklift to turn in a very small radius. The reverse and forward controls of the transmission are found on the steering column.
