Narrow Aisle Forklift
Designed to both lift and lower loaded pallets from storage spaces which are high is a narrow aisle forklift. This type is recommended for work environments with narrow spaces between aisles, like for instance warehouses or retail environments. The forklift has small, solid rubber tires that make maneuvering really easy.
Usually, the operator of this particular kind of forklift stands up in a small cockpit. The stand-up design enables the narrow aisle forklift to be as short and narrow as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift usually has three tires: one in the rear, and two in the front. This design allows for easy and fast maneuvering. There are several models of these forklifts that are available with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment is capable of pivoting to the sides, permitting the lift to be operated without the operator having to move the entire machine. The sit-down model normally has four wheels.
An electric engine is used to power numerous narrow aisle forklifts. Machines which are electrically powered are not noisy and do not make exhaust fumes, making them the preferred choice for closed places such as retail spaces. Several lifts come with a gas engine or a diesel engine. Nevertheless, the diesel model is not recommended to be used indoors as it can be noisy and produce exhaust.
